Spring Break 2014

The first part of my Spring Break was the great. I flew to Orlando and did lots of shopping. I also went to Magic Kingdom and Epcot. Then it was back to Baton Rouge. It was Monday, I thought that I would be able to get my work done in advanced for long term projects, but as most would, I spent the entire day watching old movies like The Breakfast Club. On Tuesday, I opened my World History book skimmed the first page and shut it. Then I went to the mall with my friend. The rest of the break went downhill from there. One day, my sister took me to the AMC movie theater to watch The Other Woman, but apparently the movie theater got the rating wrong. They listed it as R, so we grabbed some frozen yogurt and went home.

Over the break, I wanted to schedule a private with my gym. I sent them an email, and they didn't respond till Saturday afternoon. Sunday morning I got the email, and it said "He will be there". I wasn't sure if I was supposed to send an email back to confirm, but I guess I should of. When I went to my gym for my weekly tumbling private, no one showed up. So we waited for 15 min then left. I ended up helping my mother's friend pick out a wedding dress. Well the lady was clueless when it came to dresses. For starters, she didn't know that she had to make an appointment to try on dresses.  Also she didn't want to give the store any information so when the receptionist gave her a registration form she only filled out her name. The lady came back and told her she had to fill out more. My mom's friend filled out a few more things, but still didn't fill out the groom's name. So the receptionist lady came back and told her that the groom's name was required. finally the form was complete… or the receptionist just gave up. Lucky, the store had an open stylist.  Store policy was that you could only try on three dresses, but she tried on 12. It took forever, and she didn't even find a dress.

Macbeth Statements

I agree with the statement, "Everyone is capable of lying, betrayal, and violence, which are basic parts of human nature". In my own experience, I've seen even the sweetest people turn violent occasionally. One friend I had was great she always had my back, and was super nice to everyone. One day, she betrayed me and ditched me for some other friends. Also I'm pretty sure that no one has gone through life without telling a lie, even if they later confess. In Macbeth, this is also the case. King Duncan is portrayed as a nice king, but he also orders the execution of the Thane of Cawdor. Also Macbeth seems like a nice man, but he plans to kill the king and has killed many others in battle.

I neither agree nor disagree with the statement, "Ambition is a positive, desirable trait in a person". Though ambition initially seems good it can also lead to great danger. Ambition is drive that makes people better. One with ambition works hard to improve and often ends up better in the end. Ambition also has a dark side that involves getting rid of anything that gets in the way of the grand prize. I've seen one that is so obsessed with being a professional of a sport that they drive their family and friends away in the process. In Macbeth, Macbeth has ambition to be a good noblemen, and works hard in battle. Once he finds out that he will be king, he develops ambition to acquire the crown. Macbeth plans to kill the King though the King has given him a very desirable title.
